Gone Public

After over 4 years of blogging, I've decided to take this blog down a new road.

Last evening - quietly - without any warning - without any fanfare - I went public. I changed this blog from private (allowing readers by invitation only) to public (anyone can read it).

Wait a minute, Julie. We know you and Steve like your privacy. Why did you make the change? Well, I guess some of you helped me to make the change. Some were having a hard time getting on (and staying on) the blog. Since we live way up here in the northernmost part of the U.P. and we don't get to see our family and friends very often, and since this blog is primarily intended as a way for us to keep our family and friends informed on our life (to let them know we're still breathing), we felt bad when people told us they couldn't figure out how to access the private blog.

So, the blog is now public. If you found your way here to read this post and you want to keep checking this blog (daily, weekly, monthly or once in a great while), the simplest thing to do would be to bookmark it or save it to your favorites. You can also scroll down this page - looking at the left column - and you'll eventually see the spot where you can follow the blog by email. Those are probably the most common ways people I know access different blogs on the Internet. Of course, you can always do it the long way and type cutoffinthekeweenaw.blogspot.com into the address bar of your web browser.

I hope this helps some of you who were having problems with the blog in the past. Now you'll know what we're doing (snow removal) or not doing (getting a tan).

All is well in the Keweenaw.
